Symbiosis 3.0 Artificial Flavor

Symbiosis 3.0: Artificial Flavor In an age of unrelenting technological permeation, human creativity thrives through profound, ritualistic engagements with artificial systems—whether synthetic polymers, algorithmic intelligences, or engineered urban fabrics. Symbiosis 3.0: Artificial Flavor boldly interrogates the indelible covenant between the natural and the human-fabricated, revealing the cyborg condition as one of its most potent expressions: a seamless, co-constitutive collaboration where human and machine entwine to produce new realities.

The subtitle Artificial Flavor invokes the food industry’s calculated alchemy—the deliberate infusion of chemically synthesised compounds to mimic, amplify, or entirely supplant natural tastes. This act deliberately erodes the boundary between the organic and the engineered, exposing the seductive power of artificial enhancement. In parallel, the contemporary cyborg-human-machine collaboration emerges as a living extension of this very principle: an intimate, ongoing act of mutual infusion in which the human body, perception, and creativity are augmented, reshaped, and intensified by technological prostheses, while the machine, in turn, acquires expressive “flavour” through human intention, emotion, and cultural context.

No longer mere tool or external appendage, the machine becomes an ingested essence—a flavour of the human—lending its precision, speed, and generative capacity to thought and creation. Conversely, human agency permeates the machine, imbuing cold circuitry with narrative, desire, and ethical resonance. This reciprocal tasting transforms both parties: the human gains extended sensory reach and hybrid cognition; the machine, animated by human direction, evolves beyond pure functionality into a co-author of meaning. The resulting artworks—born of this cyborg collaboration—manifest as hyperreal forms, performative bodies navigating political complexity, and critical interventions into urban transformation, each carrying the unmistakable tang of intertwined agencies.

Symbiosis 3.0: Artificial Flavor thus presents the cyborg condition not as futuristic speculation but as an active, sensorial reality: a perpetual cycle of mutual enhancement where human and machine flavour one another, producing hybrid expressions that challenge the very distinction between the natural and the artificial.
