Toward an Infrastructural Activism: Applied Critical Ecologies for a More-Than-Human World

SATA x TBA21 Academy x LACMA's Digital Leaders

In collaboration with LACMA Digital Leaders, SATA is honoured to host Eduardo Castillo-Vinuesa, Director of TBA21–Academy, for an in-person talk: Toward an Infrastructural Activism: Applied Critical Ecologies for a More-Than-Human World

Drawing from TBA21–Academy’s ongoing work at Ocean Space in Venice, Eduardo will explore how mass tourism functions as a “planetary theatre” — reshaping landscapes, cultures, and ecosystems — and how art can propose new forms of oceanic care and imagination. The talk will also touch on themes of cultural repatriation, Indigenous knowledge, and more-than-human intelligence through current projects including Tide of Returns and The Current V: Ancestral Ocean.
